Teach a Class

Would you like to receive relicensure or graduate credit without having to drive to another site to take a class? Organize a learning team in your home district! A learning team consists of three to eight participants, and meets for at least 15 hours. Your team determines the times and places for meetings.

In addition to 15 hours of learning, meeting logs, a final product and individual reaction papers must be submitted. The course topic and final product must be approved by a district administrator, indicating that they fit into your district’s school improvement activities. For copies of the required paperwork and team expectations download the Learning Team Guide at the right.

Approval from GVAEA must be granted prior to the start of learning team activities. The cost for relicensure credit is $50. Drake credit is $125. If you’re interested in facilitating a learning team, please submit a “Learning Team Organization Form” and “Learning Team Proposal” to Kathy Lockard, klockard@aea14.k12.ia.us.
